Sonic and Spyro chapter 15

Sonic, Spyro and Cynder had finally reached Malefor's lair. Spyro turned to Cynder who felt uneasy. "Are you ready for this?" asked Spyro. "I'm scared." Cynder answered. "Just stay close to me." Spyro replied. The dragon turned to Sonic. "What about you?" Spyro asked. "Trust me, Spyro. I'm the readiest. All I need to do is give that creep the element of surprise." Sonic went ahead and climbed up one of the walls, while the two dragons went through the doors. In front of them was the Dark Master himself, Malefor. "At long last, my guests have arrived." Malefor spoke. "Please come in. Such determination to get here. It seems we share other qualities besides that of our colour." "No! I'm nothing like you." Spyro replied, bravely "Do you think so?" asked Malefor, chuckling. "We'll get to that." "Don't listen to him, Spyro. Don't listen to anything he says." Replied Cynder, standing up for him. "You look so weary. Allow me to make you more comfortable." Malefor said. Then the chains that were on Spyro's and Cynder's necks evaporated. "There. That's better isn't it?" Malefor asked. The Dark Master turned his attention on Cynder. "It's that least I can do for you Cynder. After all, you've done so much for me." "You used her!" shouted Spyro. "I used her. She used you. What does it matter really?" Malefor replied. Spyro was confused and turned to Cynder. "What does he mean?" Spyro asked. "What he doesn't know?" Malefor scoffed. "Go on tell him. You must'nt leave him in the dark." "Tell me what?" Spyro asked. "How she lured you to the Well of Souls. How she tricked you into freeing me." Malefor answered. "You're lying!" shouted Cynder, swallowing her fear. "I find it peculiar how you've chosen to remember things." Malefor explained "Let me assure you, it was you who freed me Spyro and you who brought me back. We have Cynder to thank for that." Malefor chuckled. "Cynder, is it true?" asked Spyro, worried. "No. I don't know. I don't know anymore." Cynder answered, sadly. "Oh, I think you do. But perhaps you need a little…AGH!" Suddenly, a beam of blue light smacked Malefor in the face. "What in the…?" roared Malefor, enraged. The beam of blue light flew again above Malefor's head. Malefor looked to see his upper horn was sliced off. Malefor looked around to see where the blue light was coming from. "Hey there, tall, dark and grusome!" shouted a voice. Malefor saw it was Sonic. "Well, well. If it isn't Sonic the Hedgehog. I've been expecting you." Malefor said, with a wicked smile. "So have I. You don't how long I've been wanting to kick your butt." Sonic replied. "If you're so foolish enough to challenge me, your life will be forfeit." Malefor said. "Alright, let's get this party started." Shouted Sonic, as he swung his sword to unleash a fire wave. Malefor dodged the attack. "Excellent move, hedgehog. Now it's my turn to make a move." Malefor commented. Then Malefor's eyes glowed which released a dark energy beam and it was heading towards Cynder. Sonic quickly dashed toward Cynder and pushed her out of the way. Sonic put his sword in front of him, to reflect the beam. But the beam was too strong that it shattered the sword into two pieces and hit Sonic. The blue hedgehog flew to the wall and landed on the ground, semmingly unconsious. "Sonic!" shouted Cynder. The blue hedgehog got up and suddenly he turned black and turned round. Malefor laughed. "Now you will fight against your own ally, Spyro." Roared Malefor, majestically. Sonic home attacked Spyro at the jaw, grabbed his tail and swung him at a wall. Cynder darted toward the dark hedgehog, but Sonic grabbed her neck and tired to choke her. "Sonic, stop!" wheezed Cynder, gasping for air. When Spyro got up, he saw Sonic choking Cynder. Spyro darted to Sonic and shot a fireball at him, causing Sonic to release Cynder. Sonic punched Spyro at the cheek and the purple dragon fell on the floor. Malefor enjoyed this greatly. Cynder tried to stop the hypnotized Sonic, but the Dark Master shot a dark beam at her, unlocking the darkness within Cynder's heart. Spyro saw that he was outnumbered. "Ignitus should have warned you." Malefor spoke "You are alone here, young dragon. You've always been alone. Still here you are, trying so desperately to save this miserable world, refusing to accept the true role of the purple dragon." While Malefor was speaking, Cynder tail-swiped Spyro while Sonic home-attacked him at the stomach. Malefor continued his explanation. "I am sure that you've been told that I was the first of our kind. But I can assure you there have been many. It has been the duty of our ancestors to ressurect the Destroyer and the Golems of the Deep to bring about the Great Cleansing. This is the true nature of our kind. Your destiny is to destroy the world." Hitting a wall after another homing attack from Sonic, Spyro got up from the floor and shouted. "No! I don't believe that!" "Of course you don't." replied Malefor "But you've fufilled your destiny nontheless. In my time, I was stopped. Prevented from completing my quest. Bit you've carried the flame, be it your own will or not. And soon the world will be destroyed, you along with it." "No." Spyro said, in disbelief. Cynder attacked Spyro again. "Fight back!" shouted Cynder. The dragoness attacked again and again, but Spyro wouldn't put a fight. Malefor laughed at Spyro thinking he was a coward. "Fight back!" shouted Cynder. "Why won't you fight back?" Spyro looked at Cynder with a sad look and answered. "Because you've left me nothing to fight for." Suddenly the darkness that covered Cynder vanished. The black dragoness went over to Spyro and helped him up. "There's always something." Cynder replied, smiling "Traitor!" roared Malefor. "You forget I still have one more move!" Then, Sonic began his attack on the two dragons. "Sonic, snap out of it." Shouted Cynder. "Why don't you try and make me?" Sonic replied. Cynder saw that Malefor was controlling him and fired a shadow breath at the Dark Master. "My eyes!" roared Malefor. With that, Sonic returned to his normal self. "Thanks, Cynder. I owe you one." Sonic said "Don't mention it." Cynder replied. When the shadow cleared, Malefor was angry. "You've make your choice and so you shall ALL suffer the same fate. Prepare to DIE!" Malefor shouted, enraged. "Not on your life!" Sonic shouted. Sonic immediately ummoned the Chaos Emeralds and began to transform into Super Sonic, but Malefor fired his Fury breath at the hedgehog, thinking that it would destroy him. But he didn't expect that the Chaos Emeralds reacted with the energy of the Fury blast causing to transform into a new form. Sonic then turned purple. His eyes turned yellow and purple flames covered his arms and legs. "Well, this is new." Commented Sonic. "How is this possible?" Malefor roared. "No matter I'll destroy you anyway." "Let's see you try!" shouted Sonic, with a confident smile on his smile. With that, Sonic, the two dragons and Malefor went up high into the dark red sky. Malefor began the battle by breathing a number of fire comets. Fury Sonic performed a Fury Tornado to vanquish them for Spyro and Cynder to attack Malefor. The two dragons used their powers to weaken Malefor. He saw Fury Sonic flying towards him. He smacked Spyro and Cynder out of the way. "I'll finally get rid of that little pest!" roared Malefor. The Dark Master took a deep breath and let out a gigantic purple ball and fired it toward the hedgehog. Fury Sonic reached his hands trying to push the ball back. Fury Sonic tranformed the negative fury energy into positive fury energy. Spyro and Cynder were surprised to see Fury Sonic withstand an attack like that. Sonic punched the ball a few times and kicked back at Malefor. It damaged Malefor greatly giving him some scorched marks on his skin. "Impossible!" roared Malefor, in pain. "How did you get this power?" Malefor darted towards Fury Sonic. But Spyro and Cynder joined the hedgehog and began swirling around Fury Sonic like a drill. Fury Sonic's fist turned into a ball of purple flame and the three of them damaged Malefor at the chest. Malefor fell right down to his lair. Fury Sonic and the two dragons landed safely in front of Malefor. The Dark Master got up with his chest covered in bloody scratches and bruises. "Give up?" Fury Sonic asked. "Don't be so victorious, hedgehog for the end has just begun!" Malefor replied. Sonic, Spyro and Cynder saw the Destroyer climbing through the volcano. "Oh crap!" shouted Fury Sonic. The Destroyer went back to the depths from whence it came and suddenly the whole world started to split apart. Then Malefor's lair began to move. It was going straight down to the centre of the planet! "We'd better finish the Dark Master off before we become a barbecue." Sonic replied. "Watch out!" Cynder shouted. Malefor was darting towards them. Fury Sonic unleased a Fury Wind blowing Malefor out of the way. "Now let's finish him off!" Fury Sonic shouted. Spyro and Cynder head-butted Malefor and grabbed on to each other to perform a homing attack on him. "Heh, heh! Not bad." Fury Sonic commented. Fury Sonic curled himself into a ball and used a Fury Aerial Spin Attack at Malefor. Once hit, Malefor fell right down to the centre of the planet. Fury Sonic, Spyro and Cynder followed him. Once they reached the centre of the planet, they found themselves in an area where Fury crystals were all around them. Malefor who was now covered in his own blood, came up behind them and tail-swiped the trio. "You will never defeat me!" Malefor roared. "I am eternal!" Spyro, Cynder and Malefor used their Fury Breaths. "Just a little longer!" said Spyro. Using all their power they had left, Spyro and Cynder were able to knock Malefor away. The Dark Master was weakened. Fury Sonic walked up to him. "You call yourself the Dak Master? Then let's see how you like being destroyed."
Then Sonic' arms turned into electrical fire and blasted onto Malefor. The electrical fire burned Malefor's flesh away. When Sonic was finished, Malefor's melted skeleton collapsed onto the floor and turned into a puddle of melted ash.
Sonic reverted into hs Super form as the Fury energy had stopped reacting with the Chaos Emeralds. "It's over" Spyro replied. "Not yey, we gotta find a way to put this planet back together." Said Super Sonic. "And I've gotta find a way to get back home." Spyro thought for a moment. "I know what I have to do. Just get out of here, Cynder!" replied Spyro. "Spyro, no. You don't have to do anything. Let's just go." "Where, Cynder?" Spyro asked. "There'll be nothing left! The world is breaking apart. But I think I can stop it. I think I'm meant to."
Cynder stepped toward Spyro and replied "Then I'm with you." "So am I." Said Super Sonic. "If we combine your Fury energy and my Chaos Control, I'll piece the world back together again." Spyro was surprised. "But Sonic, you'll be destroyed if you do something like that!" Cynder exclaimed. Super Sonic shrugged. "I guess I'll take my chances, besides I've been through worse that this. Well, it's been really great knowing you guys." Said Super Sonic as he made his farewell. "Good luck, Sonic!" shouted Spyro . Super Sonic flew right out of the planet until he was above it. When he saw Spyro's Fury energy coming through the shattered planet, he took a deep breath and shouted. "CHAOS CONTROL!" Then Super Sonic turned into a beam of bright light and went around the planet like there was no tomorrow. Then the bright light vanished and the planet was back to the way it was.

Two days had passed and in the Valley of Avalar were Spyro and Cynder lying on their backs on the grass watching the cloud slowly float by. "That cloud kinda looks like a sheep." Spyro suggested. "I think it looks like a rabbit." Cynder said, giggling. Then, the two dragons heard a familiar noise. Spyro and Cynder got up to see it was Sparx flying towards them. "Spyro! Where were you, man? I've been looking all over for you." Sparx shouted, surprised. "Sorry Sparx,. Me and Cynder just wanted to be alone for a while." Explained Spyro. Sparx noticed that someone was missing. "Hey, where's Sonic?" asked Sparx, confused. "I think he went back home." Spyro answered. "I'm sure gonna miss that guy." Sparx said. "Hey, don't worry, Sparx. We might see him again one day." Replied Cynder, as she and Spyro looked up to the skies/

In the Mystic Ruins on Earth, Sonic was looking at the skies as well. "See you next time, Spyro the Dragon." Thought Sonic. Then Sonic turned around and ran off to his next adventure.
